Sustainable Northwest Project
Project Summary
The Oregon Carbon Ranching Pilot began in fall 2020 as a partnership among Sustainable Northwest, ESMC, Oregon State University and four Oregon ranchers in Klamath, Wasco and Wallowa counties. The project will devise a carbon sequestration protocol for Oregon’s unique conditions along with a system for enrollment and sale of credits in the ESMC marketplace. The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is funding the project. Read more about this collaborative pilot here.
