Conservation Technology Information Center (CTIC) began a three-year project using satellite data, sophisticated modeling, farmer training programs and direct incentives to improve water quality in the Maumee, Sandusky, and Portage Cedar river watersheds in early 2020. The project undertaken with ESMC, Heidelberg University in Ohio, and others, earned a Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
